The NAL Iridium SHOUT Nano Personnel Tracker is a pocket-sized, lightweight device that provides worldwide two-way text messaging, data collecting, tracking, and check-in, as well as making it simple to ask for help and send details about the emergency to aid first responders. It also interfaces with the GeoPro web application for improved field worker communication. The SHOUT Nano is a handheld, global, two-way satellite messaging, and personal tracking system that is lightweight and cost effective.

Overview
The NAL Iridium SHOUT Nano Personnel Tracker has an LCD display and an on-screen keyboard that allows free text and canned messages to be sent. The device can "wake up" from sleep on a regular basis and communicate its location to the IRIS tracking server or send an emergency alarm through a panic button. Data is delivered in one of two formats: normal or 256-bit AES encrypted. A man-down condition can be detected using an internal motion sensor. The position report is in PECOS Message Structure (PMS) or a NAL Research protocol that has been optimized. The Blue Force Tracking Data Format Specification is followed by the PMS.
How it Works
The Nano is built with ultra-low power circuits that draw less than 35 amps while sleeping. It can send a position report every hour for up to two months thanks to an integrated 1.95 A-Hr rechargeable Li-ion battery (about 1,200 reports).
The Nano has a high-resolution color LCD and on-screen keyboards that handle free-text, canned messages, and a combination of free-text and canned messages transmission. For rapid access, the menu selections are displayed as icons.
The device can wake up from sleep on a regular basis to relay its position report to a command center. For quick emergency/alert messages, a 911 button is used, and data can also be delivered in encrypted PECOS forms with Brevity codes.

Returns:
