No matter where you are on land or at sea, the ACR rescueME PLB1 Personal Radio Beacon provides you the peace of mind that worldwide emergency services can be contacted at the touch of a button. The rescueME PLB1 can be operated with just one hand in even the most severe scenarios. A simple spring-loaded flap conceals the activation button, preventing inadvertent use.
The ACR rescueME PLB1 Personal Radio Beacon is linked to the world's only official satellite network for specialist search and rescue (operated by Cospas Sarsat). Because this program is funded by the government, there are NO FEES to use it. When triggered, the rescueME PLB1 sends your location and ID to a Rescue Coordination Center via satellite. The nearest rescue services are contacted as quickly as possible of your situation, and they are kept up to date on your present location on a regular basis to aid in rapid rescue.
