ICOM IC-SAT100 PTT Iridium Satellite Radio
The ICOM IC-SAT100 PTT Iridium Satellite Radio connects people all over the world with a group of PTT radios at the push of a button. The Iridium satellite network, which covers the whole world, including both poles, and enables for wide-area global communication from anywhere on the earth, is used by the IC-SAT100 to do this.
What is Satellite PTT?
The Iridium satellite network is used for satellite PTT (Push-To-Talk). It can be used as a communication tool in remote, isolated places when mobile phones and landline network equipment are unavailable. Even if terrestrial network infrastructure is destroyed by human or natural disasters, Satellite PTT can provide a reliable backup that is unaffected by other networks.
One-to-Many Communications
With a single push of the transmit (PTT) button, IC-SAT100 users can immediately begin chatting to all radios in the same talkgroup, unlike satellite phones.
Wide Area Global Communications 
The Iridium satellite network covers the whole globe, including both poles, and can deliver global communications over long distances anywhere on the globe*.

Waterproof, Dust-tight, and Durable Body 
The IC-SAT100 is dust-tight and waterproof to IP67 (1 m depth of water for 30 minutes), making it perfect for usage in tough outdoor conditions. The radio also complies with MIL-STD 810G requirements. The temperature range for operation is –30°C to +60°C (–22°F to 140°F).
