The Icom M400BB VHF Receiver from Icom is ideal for boats that require a radio but lack space at the helm. The M400BB has a two-piece, all-black box design. Connect the COMMANDMICIVTM, HM-195 to the cockpit or fly bridge and conceal the complete RF black box equipment. All radio operations, including DSC, radio, and hailer horn, are possible with the HM-195. For ease of use, the HM-195 also makes use of the user soft key interface found on Icom's most recent line of maritime radios.
Active Noise Cancelling
Built-in active noise cancellation in both directions minimizes background noise by up to 90% while enhancing both your transmitted speech and incoming call quality. Clearly hear and be heard.
10W Amplifier
A 10W amplifier that is already present in the Icom M400BB VHF Receiver boosts the audio output from an additional external speaker. With the public address feature, you can use the microphone as a loudspeaker to make announcements.
Digital Selective Calling (DSC) and NMEA Compatibility
The NMEA0183 universal communications protocol, which provides GPS and navigational information, is supported by all Icom Marine Fixed Mount products. It is necessary to connect to an NMEA0182 network with GPS and/or navigational data in order for your radios to convey your location coordinates in a DSC Distress call because the IC-M330 and IC-M400BB DO NOT have an inbuilt GPS. Built-in GPS receivers in the IC-M330G, IC-M424G, IC-M510, and IC-M605 enable DSC capabilities natively without being connected to the NMEA0183 or NMEA2000 bus.
