The Icom M94D Handheld VHF Radio, a Class-H DSC VHF transceiver, is the world's first handheld to support AIS. The M94D is ideal for small boats and pleasure craft wishing to keep safe and informed on the ocean, with a class-leading 1500 mW speaker and ocean-conscious features. When out on the open sea, a combination of the Automatic Identification System (AIS) and Distress Signal Calling (DSC) offers users with peace of mind.
Users can set up DSC individual calls using the AIS target call function. The distress call button on the back panel is easily accessible.
Plot up to 50 waypoints for fishing spots or Man-Overboard (MOB) waypoints using vessel traffic information. The back-lit screen on the M94D may be dimmed for comfortable reading in any lighting condition. Icons and text are easy to read on the huge screen.
Water-resistance features on the Icom M94D Handheld VHF Radio make it ready to use in any weather condition. Even when the M94D is turned off, if it falls into water, it floats and flashes.
